Further details:
The 'Himno Nacional de la República Dominicana' was composed by JOSÉ REYÉS (1835-1905). The text is by EMILIO PRUD'HOMME (1856-1932).
The triumphal marchlike melody, is reminiscent of nineteenth century Italian opera, with also a touch of 'La marseillaise'.
